Join Us in Making the World Safer!
We’re a passionate startup from Munich on a mission to make safety accessible to everyone—free of charge. Our app connects users in emergency situations with their trusted contacts—whether family, friends, or local security forces.
We’re looking to build a world where security and freedom go hand in hand. As a small and diverse team of 22 employees from 8 different nationalities, we’re driven by the goal to change the world for the better. We’re currently looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer (m/f/d) to join us on this journey, someone with empathy and innovation at their core, helping us enhance global safety through intuitive, accessible design.
- At least 5 years of experience in UX/UI design for mobile apps, preferably at a growing company where you helped shape the design early on and showed initiative in identifying tasks and driving innovative solutions.
- Strong expertise in user research, and the ability to mentor junior colleagues to uncover user needs and translate them into actionable design strategies.
- A passion for working in a fast-paced startup environment, taking responsibility, and actively contributing to the development of new ideas.
- Experience in guiding junior designers, a passion for safety, and a preference for data-driven decision-making.
- Strong teamwork and empathy, especially in handling sensitive user needs and expectations. You understand the importance of ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of usability and safety.
- Proficiency in both German and English is essential, as we embrace diversity within our team.
- UX Research: You’ll bring deep expertise in user research and methodologies. You’ll lead both exploratory and guided interviews to understand user needs and behaviors and use those insights to inform strategy.
- User Journeys: You’ll map out user journeys and information architectures, laying the groundwork for productive discussions with wireframes and user flows.
- Prototyping & Usability Testing: You’ll create clickable prototypes, test design concepts, and gather feedback from users. Through usability tests, you’ll identify and address usability and accessibility issues to improve the user experience.
- UI Design: You’ll design detailed UI elements in Figma, including color schemes, typography, graphic elements, and interaction patterns, while staying updated on the latest trends in UX/UI design.
- Collaboration: Working closely with product teams and developers, you’ll contribute to design decisions and ensure the integration of user and business requirements.
- Design Systems: Together with the design team, you’ll develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and best practices, ensuring consistent design across various platforms and products.
- Purpose-Driven Work: Start every day knowing your work helps make the world a safer place.
- Equity Participation: Receive shares in our rapidly growing startup (ESOP) and benefit directly from the company’s success.
- Friendly and Collaborative Culture: We foster a work culture based on friendship and teamwork, where we celebrate authenticity and individuality. We believe diverse perspectives lead to innovation.
- Flexibility & Trust: Work flexibly with our hybrid work model and enjoy unlimited vacation days.
- Personal Development: Experience rapid growth with lots of independence and responsibility – your creative freedom is as vast as your ideas.
- Transparency: Join a team that values open communication and transparency. You’ll have insight into all areas of our business, and we celebrate our successes together while learning from every experience.
- Unique Workations: Join us for inspiring team retreats in locations like cozy cabins in the Alps, sunny villas in Mallorca, or idyllic houses by the lake.
- Modern Amenities: Enjoy our modern campus with food trucks, an outdoor pool, a rooftop terrace with a view of the Alps, eGYM Wellpass membership, and a cozy office with regular afterwork events.
