As we expand into new markets and sports, we seek a visionary Lead Engineer to lead our technological growth and shape the future of Trace.

As the Lead Engineer of Trace, you will spearhead our technology strategy,ensuring scalability, security, and innovation across our platform. You will drivethe evolution of our backend, frontend, and integrations to deliver exceptional fan experiences. You’ll play a critical role in shaping Trace’s multi-sport ecosystem, focusing on digital identity, gamification, and data-driven insights.

As a Lead Engineer at Trace, you’ll be working with:

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role, preferably as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or Technical Director.
• Expertise in digital identity systems (DID), blockchain technologies, andscalable backend architectures.
• Strong knowledge of sports tech ecosystems, including fan engagementplatforms, SSO integrations, and gamification.
• Demonstrated success in building and scaling technology platforms for high-growth companies.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the sports or entertainment industries.
• Familiarity with AWS, particularly Cognito and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of Web3 technologies and their application in fan engagement.
• A passion for sports and a deep understanding of fan behavior.

Technology Leadership

• Define and execute Trace’s technology vision, ensuring alignment with business goals.
• Drive innovation in digital identity (DID), blockchain, gamification, and data analytics.
• Ensure the scalability and reliability of Trace’s backend and frontend architectures.

Team Management

• Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering and development team.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.Platform Delivery
• Oversee the design and implementation of new features, includinggamification, quests, and SSO integrations.
• Enhance modular backend systems to support multi-sport/event platforms.Strategic Partnerships
• Collaborate with key stakeholders, including sponsors, sports organizations,and technical partners, to integrate Trace with existing tech stacks (e.g., SSO, loyalty programs).
• Identify and implement opportunities for strategic partnerships in the sportsand tech industries.

Compliance & Security:

• Ensure platform compliance with global data privacy regulations (GDPR etc…).
• Build robust security measures to protect user data and ensure platformintegrity.
