Founding Product Designer
Startup
We’re building a personalized 'time agent' that autonomously coordinates meetings. Our goal is to use this AI executive assistant to create a swarm network of calendars -- imagine one agent pointed at the world's time. The more people who continue to connect their calendars to Blockit, the more powerful our agentic network becomes.Agents are a completely new interaction paradigm for users -- therefore we do "a lot" of customer education. We have gotten shockingly far without a designer, but it is time. We are looking for a Founding Product Designer to help us reimagine Blockit's UX and teach the world how to interface with their own time.
The ideal candidate would have 2+ years of experience and ideally have worked at an application layer software company.
Our 9-person team sits together in SF, working collaboratively to build a product that's spreading virally.
We're looking for a product designer who can help us craft novel human-AI interactions that make scheduling effortless and help people connect more easily.

- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Ability to work closely with engineers without formal PM structure, filling gaps between product documentation and engineering implementation.
- Self-Starter Mentality: Comfortable being the only designer, taking ownership of projects from basic product docs to implementation
- Output-Oriented Work Ethic Hard worker who delivers results without needing micromanagement, motivated by "carrots not sticks
- Strong Depth of Thought: Should be able to discuss paradigm shifts within UX and describe their favorite LLM apps
Objective
Flesh out product docs + teach the world to interact with agents.
Thesis
Urgent need: the company needs a product designer to take project docs and further flesh out the proposed solutions. If they can do that, projects will be concrete enough for engineering to quickly begin executing on them without wasting time.
Important need: because agents are brand new form of human computer interaction, the company needs a designer who can imagine something familiar enough that customers can actually figure out how to use it — but unfamiliar enough that it pushes the boundaries on how we ever thought software could force multiply us and our time.
Role
The 30-90-180 day plan will be as follows:
- 30 day → design system
- 90 day → revamp web app
- 180 days → multi-surface area (email, text, LI, etc) design strategy
